Gratitude

I am privileged to have been graced with extensive support, love and advice. I have a huge amount to be grateful for.

This space serves as a small moment of gratitude, enabling personal reflection and celebrating those for whom I am genuinely grateful and who have helped shape my world.

  • I am grateful for those who have supported and invested in my success.

  • I have not had the time to gain wisdom with time. Age is not a prerequisite to wisdom. I am deeply grateful for those who have imparted their hard-earned wisdom to help accelerate mine.

  • I am grateful for those who have been my cheerleaders from the sidelines.

  • I am grateful for those who have held the space for me in the most difficult of times.

  • I am grateful for those who have helped hold me to account and to the highest of standards but have also given me grace when I’ve needed it.

  • I am grateful for those who have inspired me to embrace my whole self. Your acceptance and encouragement are profoundly meaningful to me.

  • I am grateful for those who have fed and inspired my curiosity and always taught me to keep questioning, searching, challenging, and growing… always.

  • I am grateful to all those who have made me the leader that I am today.

As a reflection of our ever-growing and changing paths, this is a living list and will continue to evolve with time.

To those on this list - I would not be where I am today without you. Quite simply, thank you.

In no particular order -

///

Nicki and Jorji - my sisters. For making me a big sister (even if I am the smallest). For teaching me the deepest of love, protection and pride. For the sarcasm, no-nonsense straight talking, laughter, dysfunction and all the uniqueness, joy and complexity that only sibling relationships can bring.

Gen. Billy - you talk too much, but I absorb every word. I am so grateful to you for your impact on my world and growth. I would not be the leader I am today without you. I know you are there, lock-step in arms every step of the way. I am grateful for all of your wisdom and support - all the late nights, strategising, reflecting, and inspiring. Thank you for your undying belief in me.

Simon Phillips - an entrepreneurial spirit through and through. It is an honour and a privilege. Your energy is contagious. To Chaos People.

Lauren Currie - you were there when I needed you most. You ignited a flame of confidence within me and inspire me every day to know my power and use my voice. You are a cheerleader, a friend and an inspiration.

Phil Smith - I am so grateful for every day, conversation and every moment we spent together. We embarked on this journey of entrepreneurship together. We learnt so much from each other. You will always be a pillar to me, to our company, and I will never stop missing and loving you. I promise to keep your memory close and do all I can to make you proud.

Jules - for all your patience and behind-the-scenes secondary support. I know it can’t always be easy ;)

Loz - my closest and dearest friend. I am so grateful to you. Over ten years and 5000 miles… time differences are nothing to us. Despite the distance, we will always grow together. The insightful conversations, tears, laughter, and always a touch of Disney magic.

Jamie S Elliot -  the deep conversations, the lack of judgement, the sass, the energy, friendships and doors you have blessed me with, and helping me in more ways than you probably know.

Michal - a surprisingly kindred spirit, an inspiration, your relentlessness, vulnerability and strength. I am so grateful to have met you this year. This is just the beginning.

Peter K - for holding the space

Aaron Mason - for opening my eyes to everything entrepreneurship.

Phil Meeson - your impact on my life cannot be underestimated. I am eternally grateful that our gyroscope project bought us together and put me on the path of all things quantum. I am grateful for your recognition of my potential, belief in me and offer of a PhD. Your personal support every step of the way has been fundamental to my success.

Eric Partaker - for holding me to account, keeping me focused, always smiling and helping me do the right but difficult things - always.

Jon B - I am grateful to have been able to learn so much quantum under your mentorship, and I am grateful for your belief in me as a leader. It’s a privilege to work with you.

Sandra - for teaching me to play the piano and so much more. For teaching me discipline and for being a second grandma to me.

Katie Bedborough - one of the most inspirational, badass, talented, boundary-breaking women I know. Cheers to you!

Peter G - for all the support, advice, problem-solving - hard truths, 100% trust, stepping up when I asked and always being at the end of the phone.

Aila - for being the best guardian-daughter anyone could ever ask for. Your spirit is STRONG, and you’re going to rule the world.

Mum - for instilling in me a curiosity about people, high empathy, discipline and your Scottish stubbornness, grit and determination.

Dad - aren’t we all just trying to make our Dads proud? Thank you for the consideration, imparting your wisdom, the bad (and sometimes good) jokes, logic, the projects, introducing us to Scalextric, electronics, golf, handiwork and more.

The Martins - for introducing me to music, swimming, being a second family growing up, being a forcing function for moral integrity, and teaching me about the challenges and difficulties of even the deepest relationships and letting go.

Karen - for always being authentically and unashamedly you and holding the flame for the non-conformist Wisby-women.

Jocko W - Prioritise and execute. Extreme ownership. Always.

Steve Farber - for LEAP, leading with love and oh SH!T moments

Lucy & Sam - for our summer living in tents, embracing the outdoors, freedom and fun.

Anne-Claire Blet - you inspire me every single day. Your depth of care, eye for detail, ability to get shit done and relentlessness is unparalleled. I am a better leader and all-around human because of you.
